After a fire destroyed her studio in San Diego’s Banker’s Hill neighborhood, Marie and her husband, R.T. Lonsdale, rebuilt, and in 2016 founded El Nido Studio Gallery as a means of giving back to their community. El Nido (“The Nest”) is utilized as both Marie’s studio and a venue for hosting no-cost/no-commission curated exhibitions and events in support of regional arts, artists and artisans.
